HQE EXPERIMENTAL OPERATION
The “High-Quality Environmental” (HQE) approach covers the reduction of environmental impacts of a building combined with the optimization of comfort and health for the quality of life to its users. A management system for operations (quality system) and 14 targets define a building’s Environmental Quality (e.g.: management of energy, acoustic comfort, etc). The company has embraced this HQE approach for its three most recent industrial investments, namely the expansion of the Soual and Avène factories and the construction of an Antibody Biotechnology Unit at Saint-Julien. In this way, our company participates in extending the scope of the December 2008 version of the tertiary buildings - HQE logistics platform approach to industrial sites.
- The expansion of the dermo-cosmetics production factory at Soual (Tarn)
- The Soual production site was expanded. This project was launched as part of an experimental HQE operation, and the profile reached for the building in terms of environmental quality is “highly efficient” for nine targets and “efficient” for five.
- The Antibody Biotechnology Unit at Saint-Julien-en-Genevois (Haute-Savoie)
Our company has consolidated its commitment to biotechnologies by creating a biotechnology unit for the development and production of monoclonal antibodies. This project was launched as part of an experimental HQE operation. The profile reached for the building in terms of environmental quality is “highly efficient” for 4 targets and “efficient” for 10.
ISO 14001 AND OHSAS 18001
The active substance production factories at Gaillac (France) and Virrey del Pino (Argentina) are ISO 14001-certified, which is an environmental management standard.
These two factories as well as our skin research center at the Hôtel Dieu site in Toulouse are OHSAS 18001-certified, which is a work safety management standard.
The PFDC clinical and product safety division at Hôtel Dieu has also been granted EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) certification.
